BRIGHTON VS LIVERPOOL

If Brighton defeats the unreliable Reds on the south coast, they would move above Liverpool in the Premier League standings. BRIGHTON have found their footing under new manager Roberto De Zerbi. The Italian coach lost all five of his first games in charge, but he has subsequently won six games in a row to help Seagulls supporters forget about Graham Potter. Since Brighton has scored 14 goals in their last four games, they will feel confident in their chances against a Liverpool defense that has recently seemed porous. The Anfield giants have won only two of their five games since the World Cup break as Jurgen Klopp's team appears to have lost its mojo this season. Klopp needs to strengthen a back line that has been conceding goals and is now without Virgil van Dijk because this team's victories over Aston Villa and Leicester were also not particularly impressive. Liverpool has conceded 10 goals in their previous five games, and their most recent FA Cup loss at home to Wolves was only averted by a contentious offside call. They desperately need a victory in Brighton, and the fact that both of these teams want to play aggressively augurs well for an exciting match.
