Juventus are usually solid at home but the defeat to Monza shows that the morale of the players has been affected by the points deduction. Massimiliano Allegri’s men failed to build on a decent start and crumbled once the visitors took an early lead.
While some of the big guns are crumbling around them, Lazio appear to be duly taking advantage. They have risen to third in Serie A and travel to Turin with three wins and two draw from their last five matches across all competitions.
Lazio were at their best in the previous round of the Coppa Italia as they claimed a 4-0 victory over reigning Serie A champions AC Milan. However, they head into Thursday’s clash off the back of a 1-1 home draw with Fiorentina in a Serie A fixture last Saturday.
Lazio have claimed some solid results on their travels this season and will head to the Allianz Stadium with some confidence. Maurizio Sarri’s men have already claimed Serie A wins at Fiorentina, Atalanta and Roma this term and picked up a 2-0 win over Sassuolo in their previous away fixture.
